As a highly accomplished Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, he has performed surgeries for numerous contestants and winners of “The Biggest Loser,” and has made regular appearances on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover.” In fact, he was the youngest surgeon selected for the show, based on the quality of his surgical results, leading the show to change the policy of working only with surgeons who had 10 or more years of experience before being considered. The exception was made just for Dr. Aboolian.
The public response to his work led to additional features on such shows as Access Hollywood, iVillage Live, EXTRA, Access Hollywood, US Weekly, and People Magazine. His reputation for safety, surgical talents, and natural results have been recognized by multiple publications including but not limited to the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, NY Daily News, and Los Angeles Magazine. He has also been consecutively voted by his medical collogues in southern California to be a Super Doctor in his Beverly Hills plastic surgery specialty.
Dr. Aboolian’s Education
Dr. Aboolian completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he received the Los Angeles Medical Center Auxiliary Award in 1989, one year after accepting the American Heart Association of Southern California Research Award. He completed medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, followed by a coveted residency in General Surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (Cabrini) Program, and Plastic Surgery fellowship at the renowned University of Texas, in Houston and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Aboolian performs almost all of his surgeries at Multispeciality Surgical Group, Inc. Surgery Center. Accredited by The Joint Commission – which encourages and enforces quality patient care in all types of freestanding ambulatory care facilities – our surgery center follows best standard protocols and routines similar to those used in hospitals. This facility is located next to Dr. Aboolian’s office in Suite 200, giving our patients the benefits of safety, convenience, comfort, and privacy.
To maximize safety, our board-certified anesthesiologists and registered nurses get involved in each patient’s care before the surgery date. Patients are contacted before surgery to review pre- and post-operative instructions and to have their questions answered.
